Product Description
Detecting whether the hydraulic brake lever is "active" or "deactivated" has always been a challenging problem for electric bicycles. Now, with the advent of the BK-2R sensor, this problem has been completely solved.
The sensor consists of two parts: a main sensor and a small magnet, both of which are very compact.
Simply attach these two parts to the brake lever, and the system can accurately detect the brake's active or deactivated state, outputting the corresponding on/off signal.

BK-2R Power-off Brake Sensor – Reliable Protection When Power Drops Unexpectedly
In industrial automation, the most dangerous moment is often not when a machine is running, but when power suddenly disappears. That’s when braking systems must react instantly. The BK-2R power-off brake sensor is built exactly for this situation.
I’ve seen many systems fail simply because the brake signal came too late. This sensor solves that problem by detecting power loss immediately and sending a stable brake control signal without delay.
It is widely used in CNC machines, elevators, conveyors, robotics, and any system where controlled stopping is critical for safety.
The BK-2R sensor is a safety control device designed to monitor electrical power status and trigger braking when power is lost. It acts as a bridge between electrical failure and mechanical safety response.
Its job is simple but extremely important: make sure machines stop safely when power disappears.
Detects sudden power failure
Triggers brake activation signal
Supports industrial safety control systems
Prevents uncontrolled machine movement

The working principle is based on real-time voltage monitoring. When the system is powered normally, the sensor stays in standby mode. When voltage drops below a safe threshold, it immediately switches output state and activates the brake signal.
This reaction happens in milliseconds, which is critical for high-speed industrial equipment.
| Status | Sensor Behavior | System Response |
|---|---|---|
| Normal Power | Monitoring mode | Machine runs normally |
| Voltage Drop | Pre-alert detection | Signal ready state |
| Power Failure | Instant trigger | Brake activated |
| Recovery | Reset monitoring | System restarts safely |

When machines are moving and power suddenly cuts off, inertia keeps them running. Without braking control, this can cause damage or safety hazards.
BK-2R ensures that braking happens at the exact moment power is lost, not after.
Prevents uncontrolled machine motion
Reduces mechanical damage risk
Improves operator safety
Supports emergency shutdown systems

This sensor is designed for real industrial environments, not lab conditions. That means vibration, dust, heat, and electrical noise are all considered in its design.
Instant detection of power loss ensures immediate braking action.
Maintains consistent performance under unstable voltage conditions.
Works reliably even in noisy electrical environments.
Built for continuous industrial operation.
